Smile, Charlie Brown… it’s almost Christmas!

Christmas. It’s only fifteen days away. But the more pertinent fact for me is the number of school days  left – and that number is seven. SEVEN. Bloody hell. I don’t know about you but I still have quite a bit to do! There is some good news though. I almost finished my Christmas letter over the weekend so the cards will go out this week. Writing it reminded me of how much we got up to this year. No wonder we’re all looking forward to the break… 2012 was huge!

But enough of that – on to the business of Monday and music.

I’ve been a little preoccupied with a tragic news story over the weekend, as have many, many other people worldwide. It’s incredibly sad. While I don’t want to wade through all the details again (plenty of others are doing that) the story got me thinking about judgement calls and those who make them. About ethics and morality. And of consequences when things don’t go as planned. It’s only hindsight that has a habit of being 20/20, don’t you think?

Today’s song is from one of my favourite singer/songwriters. I’ve been a Lennon fan forever and this is one of his best, IMO. Considering the news of late, it seems almost appropriate.
